Flowering time Spring
Forsythia are deciduous shrubs known for their long branches that fill with brilliant yellow flowers in early spring. They provide an early nectar source for bees. They provide a cheerful backdrop or or centrepiece for your yard. They are fast growing with an upright arching form. They prefer well drained soil but are somewhat tolerant of clay soil. Do any pruning to maintain height and shape right after flowering. They bloom on old wood so later pruning will remove next years flowers.
