Delphinium belladonna ' Bellamosum'

Delphinium belladonna ' Bellamosum'
Light:Sun-Part Shade
Flowering Time:Early Summer-Second Bloom August-Sept.

Plants are Bushy and branching freely at the base, stems have many deep gentian blue flowers. This little seen group of hybrids is derived from the crosses between D. elatum and D. cheilanthum. This sturdy and graceful species is equally charming, equally blue, and a good deal more durable. Their colours are stunning and the period of bloom is long, in part because they produce secondary spikes in late summer and fall. Delphiniums require full sun and rich soil amended with lime. Nice form good for the cutting garden.
