|HIERACIUM Chocolate Dip|
Light: Full Sun-Part Shade
Flowering Time: June-July
Another great addition to a ‘Chocolate’ garden, this variety has blue-green, arrow shaped leaves that are heavily mottled with deep purple-brown. Growing to 12 inches, ‘Chocolate Dip’ sports yellow daisy-like blooms in June and July. Easy to grow best in part shade and average soil.
The name comes from the belief that hawks eat the plant to sharpen their sight. The flowers have a sweet honey-like scent & give much nectar. Used medicinally.
